Jonah and the Big Fish follows a reluctant prophet’s journey through disobedience, second chances, and the challenge of accepting God’s mercy, as reported by the Divine News Team in the God’s Creatures Tell the Story series.

A Prophet Runs. A Great Fish Swallows. A City Turns to God.

When God calls Jonah to Nineveh, he boards a ship headed toward Tarshish instead. But a storm, an unexpected rescue inside a great fish, and a renewed calling send him toward the very people he hoped to avoid.

Join Penny the Squirrel, Professor Hoot the Owl, and Dominic the Donkey as they follow Jonah from his attempted escape to his message for Nineveh—and discover that his hardest lesson may come after the city responds.

Through its animal-reporter storytelling framework, this Bible retelling invites children and families to explore meaningful questions: What happens when we resist doing what is right? How can we respond to a second chance? Can we welcome God’s compassion toward people we find difficult to love?
